Why is Bob drumming in the "Helena" video? And why did Matt Pelissier leave My Chemical Romance?

My friend and I were watching the "Helena" music video on Saturday and we noticed that Bob was the one drumming even though Matt was the drummer for "Three Cheers." We wondered why that was and why Matt left the band... since we're such good fans and don't know ourselves xD Thanks!
