Inflation and stimulus package question??

Unfortunately what they are doing is manipulating the U.S. economy for selfish political reasons. Every politician wants raise a fuss in order to the step in and "save the day." The economic stimulus plan is actually a political stimulus plan to create popularity amongst constituents. If the economic stimulus plan were purely based on economics, why is it that every politician wants to change it to include/exclude a certain group of people? Pure economics would provide a "best" answer but it has been politicized. They are having a popularity contest in D.C. That's all it is. Our economy does not need stimulation... it needs to focus on spending its money on domestic goods and services in order to decrease the trade deficit.
