I met a British guy from Manchester online.I'm hurt a lot?

We met on MySpace.To be honest I'd met so many rubbish guys online.Facebook is better I think.I have to admitt,I was attracted by him since the first sight.Then I decided to know him.I had been waiting for days before he got online.Fortunately we started to talk.He's amazing good.I fell in love with him then.But it seems that I'm just a strange friend online to him.We talked happily but he never replays my texts.Again and again.It's heartbreaking.I've been told that British are cold.It looks he has no interest on me.Should I hold on?I'm planning to study in the UK when I graduate from the university.I love him.So upset now.
