Do you need a license to post news articles on your website...?

Usually obtained form a REAL news site such as CNN or a local news website. Just curious in order to make my website a little more enticing and entertaining. Will I be breaking any laws if I do this? Thanks. BTW, I'm a licensed advertiser/publisher/marketer and also a professional programmer.
