What is your opinion of the FN five seven.. vs. a Glock 17?

the FN is a gadget gun developed for the military that the military didnt buy so FN is trying to pawn em off on suckers. With civilian ammo you might as well have a 22 magnum. the ammo is hard to find, expensive and wont be around much longer. The 9mm has been around 100 years because it is a good round for sport and defense. Maybe not the best but good. I dont like the grip angle of the Glocks but they are reliable, durable, and accurate. If they fit you they're one of the best.
