Am i really in love with him? help plzz?

so me and this guy meet playin softball then come to find out my best friend was really good friends with him cuz they went to the same school. well we became friends and ended up datin well we was only together for a month. the reason we split was cuz his grandpa was dyin an he was moving to help is grandma. well after he left i found out it was for a year so we both talked about it an decided we didnt want a long distance relationship but we would still be friends. we were friends for 3 months after we broke up. we have never fought bout anything it was the best relationship ive ever had both friend and bf/gf.well about 2 weeks ago i told him i was in love with him but it wouldnt work between us and the only thing i can think of is stop talking. so we havent talked since an i wanna talk to him but i wanna move on at the same time. do i really love him r what im so confused. my head has been spinnin since i told him i was in love with him help plz
